Job Overview:
Shawn’s Autobody is seeking a dedicated and reliable Auto Detailer to join our team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality cleaning and detailing services for vehicles, ensuring they meet excellent standards of appearance for our customers. This is a permanent, full-time position based on-site at our facility in Kitimat.
Key Responsibilities:
Thoroughly clean the interior and exterior of motor vehicles, including cars and trucks.
Operate and maintain various cleaning equipment such as pressure washers, steam cleaners, carpet shampooers, and waxing machines.
Wash and clean all windows and glass surfaces.
Vacuum floors and shampoo upholstery to remove stains and dirt.
Provide exceptional customer service and address client inquiries professionally.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Work Environment:
This is a physically demanding role set in a typical autobody shop environment. You can expect to work in conditions that may be wet, damp, noisy, dusty, and dirty.
Requirements:
Experience: Previous experience as an auto detailer or in a similar cleaning role is a strong asset, but not mandatory.
Education: No formal degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with using carpet cleaning machines, pressure washers, steam cleaners, and waxing machines is preferred.
Physical Capabilities: Must be able to handle repetitive tasks, stand for extended periods, and frequently bend, crouch, and kneel. Capable of lifting up to 30 lbs (13.5 kg).
Security: Must be able to obtain a basic security clearance.
